At the recent MEA Awards at the ICC Sydney EventPix’ Alicia Lansdown produced a series of videos that featured guests being interviewed by Trevor Connell as they arrived for the gala event. Then the winners were interviewed by Trevor shortly after they accepted their award.
These videos were uploaded to Facebook the following day – just an example of the new video service now offered by EventPix. However we don’t recommend Trevor as your interviewer, you will see that he is a much better photographer. We can in fact line up a professional interviewer for your event or you can use someone from in-house. We can also edit and upload during your event and we are now gearing up for Facebook Live using professional video rather than a phone.
Imagine your guests arriving at your event and walking in on a red carpet to be greeted by a phalanx of photographers opposite your very own media wall. Then a reporter steps forward to inquire “who are you wearing tonight?”
EventPix is part of the team behind Sydney’s first all inclusive Red Carpet service. Your Red Carpet Experience has a team who will design and install your media wall, red carpet, bollards, props and lighting. The add to that an excellent EventPix photographer, a videographer and select from a range of entertainers to enhance the experience.
Over the past couple of decades I have been involved in many events at Sydney’s Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay. The venue has great views and is in the city; however it provided event managers with huge challenges. Especially access and rigging.
So I was interested to see what the new White Bay Cruise Terminal has to offer, and I got my chance last Saturday courtesy of Bridget Hart from Aspect Eight who produced quite a large event there for an international client.
Access and parking is a breeze. The main function area is spacious with only a few columns. Talking to the crew I found out that there are quite a few permanent rigging points available which make bumping in quite easy. This in particular is a huge contrast to the Circular Quay venue.
However I did get a laugh from this statement on the WBCT website… “White Bay Cruise Terminal (WBCT) is one of Sydney’s newest waterfront venues only five minutes by car or ferry from the Sydney CBD.” Obviously the PR jerk who wrote that has never crossed Anzac Bridge!
